NOUVEAUX PATRIMOINES
Les Heritage Days/Journées du Patrimoine permettent chaque année, le temps d’un week-end, de redécouvrir
Bruxelles et de l’apprécier avec un autre regard, de découvrir des lieux souvent peu accessibles. Pour cette 36e édition, Urban a eu à cœur de choisir une thématique mettant en lumière une période encore peu connue du grand public malgré sa richesse patrimoniale : celle des années 1970 à 2000.
Ces journées seront une invitation à porter le regard sur un passé proche encore très présent dans notre quotidien,la ville qui s’est construite et transformée depuis les années 1970 jusqu’au début du 21e siècle. Un demi-siècle de bouleversements suite aux crises successives dont nous subissons encore les effets, mais aussi un demi siècle de résilience de la ville et une matérialité spécifique dont nous sommes aujourd’hui les héritiers.
La thématique « Nouveaux patrimoines » s’inscrit dans la politique de sensibilisation d’Urban et rencontre la
nécessité d’informer et de réfléchir sur le passé, pour mieux appréhender le futur. Elle s’intègre également dans le thème de « la matérialité » – fil rouge des différentes actions d’Urban durant toute l’année 2024 –, qui a pour objectif de réfléchir à la relation que nous entretenons avec la matière, avec notre environnement, ainsi qu’à la nature de notre lien avec l’architecture.
Cette année, le résumé du programme est repris dans un dépliant, disponible fin août dans de nombreux lieux (urban.brussels, Halles Saint-Géry, communes, offices de tourisme, bibliothèques et lieux participants).
Le programme complet sera disponible sur le site https://heritagedays.urban.brussels/ le 4 septembre, de même que l’ouverture des réservations.
Cet événement est organisé par la Région de Bruxelles-Capitale, dans le cadre des Journées européennes du
Patrimoine, une initiative du Conseil de l’Europe et de la Commission européenne.

NIEUW ERFGOED
De Heritage Days/Open Monumentendagen bieden bezoekers ieder jaar de kans om gedurende een weekend
op verkenning te gaan in Brussel om de stad op een andere manier te herontdekken, vanuit een ander
perspectief te waarderen en plekken te bezoeken die anders weinig voor het publiek worden opengesteld. Voor deze 36e editie heeft Urban een thema gekozen dat, ondanks haar rijke erfgoed, nog weinig bekendheid geniet bij het grote publiek, de periode van 1970 tot 2000.
We nodigen uit om te kijken naar een recent verleden, dat nog zeer aanwezig is in onze dagelijkse werkelijkheid, en meer bepaald naar de stad die zich sinds de jaren 70 tot het begin van de 21e eeuw heeft ontwikkeld en omgevormd. Opeenvolgende crises, die nog steeds een weerslag hebben, zorgden voor een halve eeuw aan ingrijpende veranderingen, maar brachten evenzeer een veerkrachtige stad met een specifieke materialiteit, waarwe vandaag op kunnen terugvallen.
Het thema “Nieuw Erfgoed” sluit aan bij het beleid van Urban om mensen bewust te maken van de noodzaak om te informeren en na te denken over het verleden, om de toekomst beter te begrijpen. Het past ook in het thema “materialiteit”, dat de rode draad vormt die door de verschillende initiatieven van Urban in 2024 loopt. Dat thema wil ons aan het denken zetten over de relatie die we hebben met materiaal en onze omgeving en over de aard van onze relatie met architectuur.
Dit jaar is de samenvatting van het programma vanaf einde augustus als folder verkrijgbaar op tal van locaties
(urban.brussels, Sint-Gorikshallen, plaatselijke besturen, toerismediensten, bibliotheken en deelnemende
locaties).
Het volledige programma zal op 4 september beschikbaar zijn op https://heritagedays.urban.brussels/, net als deopeningsdatum voor boekingen.
Dit evenement wordt georganiseerd door het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest, voornamelijk door Urban, in het kader van de Europese Erfgoeddagen, een initiatief van de Raad van Europa en de Europese .

NEW HERITAGE
Every year, for a weekend, the Heritage Days let you rediscover Brussels and appreciate it through another lens, and they let you discover sites that are often difficult to access. For this 36th edition, Urban has carefully selected a theme that, despite its rich heritage, is still little-known to the general public, the period of 1970 to 2000.
These days will be an invitation to look at a near past that is still very present in our daily lives: the city that was built and transformed from the 1970s until the beginning of the 21st century. Half a century of upheaval following successive crises, the effects of which we are still suffering, but also half a century of a city showing its resilience and a specific materiality we have inherited today.
The «New Heritage» theme aligns with Urban’s awareness-raising policy and meets the need to inform and reflect on the past, so that we can better understand the future. It also integrates into the theme of «materiality» – the common thread running through Urban’s various actions throughout 2024 – which aims to reflect on our relationship with materials, our environment and the nature of our connection with architecture.
This year, a leaflet with the summary of the programme will be available in numerous locations starting from end August (urban.brussels, Halles Saint-Géry, local authorities, tourist offices, libraries and participating venues).
