Sabina – Iuliana Oprea is a graduate of the « Regina Maria » National College of Arts in Constanța** (class of Professor Alina Deleanu), the Gheorghe Dima Academy of Music in Cluj (class of Professor Daniel Goiți), and the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland (class of Professors Hui Ying Liu Tawaststjerna and Juhani Lagerspetz). In 2023, she obtained a PhD in Music with her dissertation *Stylistic Evolutions in 20th-Century Finnish Piano Music*.
She attended masterclasses given by esteemed professors such as Wolfgang Wagenhauser (2008, 2009 – Bucharest), Martin Hughes (2012, 2014 – Cluj), Theodor Paraschivescu (2012 – Cluj), Gabriel Amiraş (2012 – Timișoara), Cristian Beldi (2013, 2015 – Wavre), Karl Andreas Kolly (2013 – Cluj), Hans Pålsson (2013 – Helsinki), Jean Claude Pennetier (2014 – Villecroze), Jens Harald Bratlie (2014, 2018 – Helsinki), Patrick O’Byrne (2014 – Helsinki), Martin Hughes (2015 – Cluj), Alicja Fiderkiewicz (2015 – Helsinki), Viniciu Moroianu and Benjamin Engeli (Academia Sighișoara 2016), Claudio Martinez Mehner (2017 – International Holland Music Sessions, 2018 – Helsinki), Robert Levin, Frederic Aguessy, Philippe Bianconi, Christian Ivaldi, and Jay Gottlieb (Festival des Écoles d’Art Américaines de Fontainebleau, 2022). In 2012, she also attended the *Music-Us* Summer Camp, where she participated in cultural management courses led by Ioan Holender.
She has performed concerts and recitals in various cities, including Constanța, Bucharest, Sibiu, Botoșani, Bacău, Piatra Neamț, and Timișoara, as well as in Brest, Paris, and Nice (France), Wavre (Belgium), Helsinki (Finland), Bergen (Norway), and Alkmaar (Netherlands). Her artistic collaborations include partnerships with the « Remember Enescu » Foundation, « Ovidius » University of Constanța, the « Teodor T. Burada » Cultural Center of Constanța, the Romanian Cultural Association in Helsinki, the Botoșani State Philharmonic, the « Oleg Danovski » Theatre Orchestra in Constanța, the « Mihail Jora » Philharmonic in Bacău, and the « NYKY Ensemble » in Helsinki, a recurring project dedicated to contemporary music.
Her achievements include numerous **First Prizes** at the *Miniatura Romantică* International Competition in Galați (2001, 2002, 2010), Honorable Mentions (2004, 2006, 2008) and **Third Prize** (2011) at the National Music Olympiad, **Honorable Mention** at the Cluj Piano Duo Competition (2012), the **Special Prize** of the Cultural Association – Lions Diamond Competition in Timișoara (2013), **Second Prize** at the *Rome International Piano Competition* (2014), and **Third Prize** at *Drumul spre Celebritate* Competition in Mogoșoaia (2017).
Additionally, she has received the **Diploma of Excellence** from the « Remember Enescu » Foundation (2009, 2011) and the **Diploma of Merit** from the Constanța County Council (2008, 2009, 2011), as well as special mentions from the **Golden Classical Music Awards** (New York), the **Moscow International Piano Competition**, and the **Smederevo International Piano Competition** for her pedagogical activity.
Sabina – Iuliana Oprea was a **resident artist at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris** from August to October 2018, as a recipient of the *George Enescu* Scholarship awarded by the Romanian Cultural Institute. She was also a **co-organizer of the International Piano Competition Constanța** (2018 & 2019) and made her debut as a **jury member** at the *Carmen Petra Basacopol* National Chamber Music Competition (2019).
Currently, Sabina Oprea is an **Assistant Professor, PhD**, at the **Department of Keyboard Instruments and Instrumental Ensembles** of the Gheorghe Dima Academy of Music in Cluj.
