« Vindu – Meeting of cultures – Argentina/Norway »:

Guillermo Rizzotto d’Argentine, guitare & Lyre/chant et violons de Norvège

Suite à une rencontre avec trois musiciens norvégiens, Even TraenAshild Wetterhus et Sivert Holmen, le guitariste argentin Guillermo Rizzotto a imaginé le projet VINDU, du norvégien «fenêtre».
L’Ensemble VINDU, tissant les traditions musicales de la vallée de Numedal et d’Argentine avec des compositions originales, nous offre une nouvelle dimension sonore : le violon de Hardanger, la lyre de Kravik, le chant et la guitare se marient dans un regard croisé improbable pour nous proposer quelque chose de tout-à- fait novateur sans pour autant altérer l’essence des deux univers, argentin et norvégien.

Guillermo Rizzotto

Guillermo Rizzotto, guitarist, composer and producer from Rosario, Santa Fe – Argentina (1980) is one of the young contemporary musicians that show a new approach to the music of Argentina mixing tradition and modernity, new sound and acoustic atmosphere, becoming in new and fresh compositions that enrich the classical guitar repertory and the music of his country.

He shows classical guitar music techniques that are mixed with the traditional way to play the “criollo”(foreign) music from Argentina, plus the free improvisation, developing sound and timbre in the aural space.

Even if he is use to play classical guitar most of the time, he has several projects that includes electric guitar and electronics music devices as a tool for the research of new sounds in his own music world.

Guillermo Rizzotto has shared concerts with very important artists from different musical genres such as Juan Falú, Eduardo Eguez, Raúl Carnota, Rudy Flores, LA CHIMERA ensemble, Silvia Pérez Cruz, Lidia Puyol, Lilian Saba, Norberto Minichilo, Rodolfo Sanchez, Osvaldo Burucuá, José LuIs Montón, Miriam García, Franco Luciani, Furio Zanasi, Susana Moncayo, Rubén Lobo, Luis Rigou, Barbara Kusa, Juancho Perone, Daniel Pérez, Marta Gómez.

He participated in very many important festivals around the world, playing his own compositions, sometimes as a guitar soloist, sometimes into ensembles, and sometimes as a composer captivating and taking the listeners into a spiritual intimacy/ritual moment.
